Quality Measures
Quality measures, or quality indicators, reveal how well an organization cares for patients undergoing certain procedures and patients with certain medical conditions. These quality statements give you the information you need to make informed decisions about your health care.
Quality measures assess aspects of health care structure (such as types and availability of services), outcomes (such as infection rates, mortality and length of stay), or processes (such as giving antibiotics before and after certain surgery). Quality measures can evaluate the performance of hospitals, health professionals and doctors.
